Welcoming a photographer into your home weeks after you welcome a new baby can feel overwhelming. But it shouldn’t! This blog contains tips on a few tasks you can do prior to your newborn session to prepare for the shoot to allow for everything to run smoothly.

I had the honor of photographing a handsome little boy, his big sister who was FULL of life, and a gorgeous adventure themed nursery. His big sister Poppy (who has the biggest personality!) didn’t lack in love and kisses for her new baby brother. Regardless of the chaos of the session, Brody slept the entire time like a champ!

And a little girl makes 5! With two older siblings, newborn lifestyle shoots can get crazy. I love to sit back and capture the true essence of those first few weeks home with the newborn. The result is always beautifully raw. The photos may not be posed perfectly, but they’re joy-filled and real.
