Meghan & Colin | Private Residence Wedding | Green Bay Wedding Photographer

This chic, tropical garden, high-style wedding has set a whole new standard for 2020 intimate weddings. Meghan and Colin first met at a wedding in Nashville, Tennessee. Colin’s good friend was marrying Meghan’s long-time family friend. Their connection was instant!! They went on to happily date, become engaged in Mexico, and plan a large country club wedding in Meghan’s hometown of Green Bay, Wisconsin. But never did they expect that their original plans of a large country club wedding would quickly shift to something much more intimate and unique.

When the pandemic struck, the couple knew things needed to drastically change, so they decided to scale back their guest list and find a new venue to host the event. Thankfully Meghan’s close family friends generously offered up their stunning home for the wedding. Ready for a full-circle moment?! That family friend was also the same family of the Nashville wedding that Meghan and Colin met at! The people originally brought them together then played a huge role in the solidifying their relationship forever.

Thanks to the amazing creativity of the bride, her mother, and Jerad with Buds n Bloom, this Wisconsin private property was transformed into a luxe, completely customized, New York-esque tented event site. Exquisite doesn’t even begin to do it justice – just look at the detail photos for yourself! Some highlights include:

  • Black and green, tropical-inspired stationary by Nico and Lala (be sure to look at her stunning Versace heels in those detail photos!)
  • Customized “getting ready” pajamas – the pocket of the blouse-styled pajama had the first initial of each bridesmaid’s name, written in the design of the couple’s wedding monogram
  • Stunning black and white bridesmaid dresses – they weren’t afraid of mixing pattern, texture, and designers for the cohesive final look
  • The bride’s chic and simplistic Ines Di Santo gown
  • Unique bouquets mixing traditional white florals with large tropical leaves
  • A catholic ceremony, taking place outdoors in the church courtyard for a European look and feel
  • A “just married” boat ride, also doubling as the couple’s entrance to the wedding reception
  • A massive greenhouse-inspired tent with the couple’s wedding monogram on the entrance doors, custom black-dome chandeliers, greenery draping from the ceiling, white velvet carpet and a custom black and white tile dance floor, custom floral leaf linens, green velvet couches with custom pillows, LUSH floral centerpieces, a custom bar, and a neon “Best Buds” sign (in honor of Colin’s place of work, Bud Light!) placed on a greenery wall, which made the perfect backdrop for their modern tech photobooth
  • A monogramed ice sculpture, holding sea food appetizers, followed by a decadent 6-course meal
  • An exceptional 15-minute, private firework show, taking place just outside the tent doors, overlooking the river (this firework show was more impressive than any 4th of July firework show I had ever seen!)

But July 11th was so much more than a stunning event. Their wedding was filled with heart, love, and quite a few happy tears! These two (and their families) have BIG hearts, and one of their main priorities was to make sure that their guests were as safe as possible while celebrating. Because of this, all guests and vendors were required to pass a COVID test before their big day. And while this came at the expense of a couple key guests not being able to attend, the selflessness of everyone involved made for a safe and healthy event. And although their guest list was small, it. was. perfect.

Please enjoy viewing this gorgeous wedding. It was such an honor to be involved! Wishing the newlyweds the happiest of everything ahead!
