I enjoy nothing more than exploring a new city for engagement photos! The challenge and the adventure that comes from shooting in a place I’ve never been leads to so much variety and creativity. I traveled to Chicago for Michael and Sam’s engagement photos which is where they both currently live and where Michael grew up. Michael is from the north suburbs of Chicago and his mom helped by giving us a few ideas of locations with pretty architecture. We started at the Kenilworth Union Church, taking photos by the beautiful stone building and getting pockets of blooming floral trees. Our next destination was Gillson Beach, but on the way we passed by the stunning Baha’i Temple and were blown away by its beauty and had to make a stop! We ended our session at sunset at the beach. The sand dunes made me feel like I was shooting in Nantucket rather than Chicago. It was such a well-rounded engagement session with so much variety! I’ll always look back at this session and smile.
