This country club wedding at the Minikahda Club in Minneapolis is the epitome of classic and timeless. The Minikahda Club is one of my favorite local venues for a reason. The bridal suite and its vintage charm not only make the perfect backdrop for getting ready photos, but it also makes the perfect location for beautiful portraits. We utilized this space for getting ready photos, all the first looks, portraits and even bridal party too. You can’t get much better than abundant natural light and the view of the lake and city from the windows! The color of the bridesmaid dresses, the florals, her dress (!)… it was all perfection.
Now let’s get talk about Anne and Nathan. I adore these two! I worked with Anne many years ago when I was still at my corporate position and she was always just the cutest. We had so much in common and would chat the day away about pop culture and our favorite TV shows over our cubicle walls. When she reached out about wedding photography I was so touched! I love when I have a pre-existing relationship with clients because that makes for a high level of trust and comfort and in turn, incredible images. Anne and Nathan had an outdoor ceremony that overlooked the water was officiated by Nathan’s grandpa. It was so meaningful and sweet and many happy tears were shed by all. The tone carried into the reception and speeches, but quickly turned to SO MUCH FUN for the party portion of the night! I loved taking my flash out and getting some additional party photos with the bridal party at the end of the night with a celebratory bottle of champagne.
