Emma and Joe are married and they started off their marriage with such a fun celebration! When I’m in the planning phase with couples I try to understand upfront their priorities on the wedding day. It was clear that they valued their relationship with friends and family above any other minor details of the day. Both coming from a large group of tight-knit friends, they opted to do a familial bridal party, having only 3 family members stand on each side. I LOVE that they had only family members for the official bridal party! But since they wanted to celebrate with everyone they love dearly, they both invited 10+ friends to join for all of the events of the day, including photos! See their squad below.
The vibe of their wedding was colorful & modern from start to finish. Emma got ready at the BEAUTIFUL Lady Vampartistry Studio in St. Paul (brides, highly recommend renting this as a getting ready space!). The space is so colorful, filled with pink accents and pops of gold (major Palm Beach vibes!), but also has a well-lit, solid white wall – the perfect backdrop for classic photos of the bride getting in her dress. Such a fun and feminine way to start the day! At the same time, Joe and his guys were getting ready at a modern barber shop, Dapper Wolf. Such a fun juxtaposition from the ladies. The space exuded masculinity and made for some really cool getting ready photos! The bridesmaid dresses were soft pink & floral, and Emma was a vision in her all-lace gown. The stunning florals by Pristine Floral added the perfect pop of color to the photos! We decided to shoot in a natural setting for half of the portraits, and embrace the modern reception venue for the second half. So fun to get such a variety of backdrops for their final gallery!
The day ended with a big celebration! They gathered at PAIKKA and dined on Italian food (including gelato – yum!). Not only was it a celebration of their marriage, but also Emma’s father’s 60th birthday! Can’t forget singing Happy Birthday and serving him a surprise birthday cake 🙂 Just outside of their indoor-outdoor reception space was the adorable Northerly photo booth and the Tot Boss food truck for late-night dining. Talk about an amazing guest experience – so much fun was had!
Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Miller!
